LITTLE AMPHIANTHUS
(Amphianthus pusillus)

Description: A small, aquatic, annual with white flowers that usually flower in March or April. This floating plant has submerged leaves less than one centimeter long. It has a life cycle of three to four weeks.

Forestry Considerations: Since this plant lives underwater, forestry practices that effect water quality are the only concern for this species.

Distribution by County: Occurs in Randolph and Chambers counties.
