Morefield's Leather Flower

| Description: A vine growing to 16
feet in length and covered with dense white hairs. The flower is urn shaped
and pinkish and blooms in late May through early July. It is often found
near seeps under mixed hardwoods on rocky south and southwest facing
mountain slopes. Trees often found near it include smoketree and chinkapin
oak.
Distribution by County: This plant is only known from Madison County in Alabama. |
